A wide-ranging leadership development programme for talented leaders from County Cricket Boards, sponsored by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
Organisation Overview
The England and Wales Cricket Board is the national governing body for all cricket in England and Wales and is responsible for the management and development of every form of cricket for men and women. This includes clubs, schools, juniors and youth, disabilities cricket, representative, first class and international cricket - from playground to the Test arena.
Our Approach
First Ascent undertook a significant design exercise and delivered a nationwide roadshow of launch events to introduce the programme.
The programme consisted of four one or two-day modules, covering leadership skills, marketing, online communications and commercial delivery.
Action Learning Sets were implemented throughout and participants were also supported to complete an ILM leadership qualification as part of the programme.
Delegates continue to have access to career mentoring and the First Ascent Foundation.
Impact and ROI
The programme seeded an improved approach to leadership in multiple County Cricket Boards and Action Learning Sets delivered practical actions that were implemented locally across the UK.
